Most Commonly Asked Questions

Choosing a pet sitter or dog walker isn’t something you do on a whim—and we admire that about you. At Hospetality Pet Care, we encourage your questions, because your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet’s comfort. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the questions we hear most often. And if you don’t see yours here? Just give us a call—we’re always happy to help.

How do I become a Hospetality client?

It’s simple and stress-free. Start by completing our New Client Form, and we’ll follow up to confirm availability. From there, we’ll arrange a complimentary meet & greet so we can get to know you and your pet’s routine.

What exactly is a professional pet sitter?

A professional sitter is more than an animal lover. They’re trained, experienced, and dedicated to providing consistent, reliable care in your pet’s own home. They understand behavior, safety, and the comfort of familiar routines—along with the joy of play and snuggles.

What kinds of pets do you care for?

From dogs and cats to bunnies, birds, guinea pigs, reptiles, and fish—if they’re part of your family, they’re part of ours.

Do you offer boarding?

No. We believe pets are happiest at home in their familiar space. That’s why our services are entirely in-home—less stress for your pets, more peace of mind for you.

Are you insured?

Yes. Every visit comes with the assurance that your pets, your home, and your trust are fully protected.

How many visits per day should I book?

Every pet’s routine is unique. As a guide:

  • Dogs (indoor/crated): 2–3 visits per day
  • Dogs (outdoor): At least 1 visit per day
  • Cats: Minimum of 1 visit daily (yes—even shy kitties need care)
  • Exotics & small pets: We’ll tailor a schedule to their needs
How many pets are included in the base rate?

Our standard rate includes one dog for Dog Walks & Outings and up to two household pets for Daily & Overnight Pet Sitting.  Additional pets are easily added for a small fee—details are available on our service menus.

Can you administer medications?

Yes. We are pleased to help with:

  • Oral medications
  • Topical creams or ointments
  • Insulin injections

Some specialized administrations may include a small additional fee.

Why are daily walks so important?

Walks aren’t just about stretching legs—they provide mental stimulation, reduce stress, prevent boredom, and help keep behavior balanced. Not to mention, they make for a happier, healthier pup.

What happens if it rains?

We always show up. If conditions are safe, we’ll walk as usual. If there’s lightning, hail, or dangerous storms, we’ll do a quick potty break and spend the remaining time inside with play or snuggles.

What if there’s a medical emergency?

We act immediately. If you can’t be reached, we’ll take your pet to your vet (or the nearest emergency hospital) using the emergency instructions and spending guidelines you’ve provided. We’re backed by a company credit card so we can act without delay.
